چکیده:
راپاپورت را از جمله پیشگامان حوزه انسان شناسی فضا و معماری می دانند، کسی که هم کالبد را می شناسد و هم فرهنگ و سعی دارد این دو را در ارتباط با هم تحلیل کند. از این رو، در حوزه مفهومشناسی جغرافیای محیطی، اصالت را به هیچ کدام این دو عنصر نداده و به نوعی رابطه رفت وبرگشتی بین آن ها معتقد است. به عبارت دیگر، درست است که در حوزه تداخل در جغرافیای محیط، انسان ها به محیط شکل می دهند ولی به محض آن که محیط ساخته شد، می تواند رفتار انسان ها را سازماندهی و کنترل کند. بنابراین راپاپورت موقعیت انفعالی انسان نسبت به محیط را رد کرده و به جای آن، نوعی کنش متقابل او و محیط جغرافیایی را پیشنهاد می کند. در این مقاله با روش توصیفی- تحلیلی و تحلیل استدلالی به بررسی دیدگاه راپاپورت در شکلگیری مجتمعهای زیستی پرداخته می شود. در پایان نیز جمعبندی و نتیجهگیری لازم در این رابطه ارائه شده است. نتایج این تحقیق نشان میدهد که وی اساس شکلگیری مجتمع های زیستی و مفهوم سکونت را دارای ابعاد کاملا فرهنگی میداند و آنها را چنین تقسیم میکند: 1. نظریاتی که فضا را تعیین کننده روابط انسانی قلمداد می کنند. 2. نظریاتی که روابط انسانی را شکل دهنده فضا می دانند. و 3. نظریاتی که فضا و انسان را در تعامل متقابل می پندارند.
